Third Annual, Crappie Tournament
Saturday May 2nd, was the perfect spring morning for the third annual Shrewsbury Crappie tournament. With 95 registered adults and children seeking be best spots among the many cuts and streams, the little hamlet became a fisherman's paradise.
The tournament began at 8 am, but eager anglers were begging bait to catch crappie at 6:30 as the sun lifted over a glass smooth Rondeau Bay.

This Years winners in the Kids Category were:
- 1st Place Brooklyn Lumley, 331 mm
- 2nd Place Conner Lackie, 304 mm
- 3rd Place Layla Stewart, 301 mm
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd adult prizes used the combined lengths of their top catches.
The Adult Category winners were:
- 1st Place Rob Stewart, $258.75, 874 mm
- 2nd Place Sam Sooter $170.00, 872 mm
- 3rd Place Chuck Irwin $88.75, 856 mm
- Largest fish, Adult Category, Matt Depuyt 329 mm
